Predictions and conditions are different
Astronomical tide predictions describe the expected tide cycle. Wind, atmospheric pressure, waves and storms can change actual conditions. A low tide is not a promise of safe swimming, and high tide is not automatically slack current. Check National Weather Service forecasts and alerts and Ocean City Beach Patrol before making an activity decision.

Is this an oceanfront or a bay tide chart?
It is an Ocean City Inlet chart for station 8570283. For an ocean beach, Assateague destination or bay-side pier, compare the location with the station before reusing its timing. Nearby sites can have different water-level cycles.
Does the same high-tide time repeat tomorrow?
No fixed clock time works every day. Select the actual local date and read that day’s predictions. Do not copy today’s time into tomorrow’s plan.
Does the chart show the actual water level right now?
No. The chart lists astronomical high and low predictions. A measured water level, water temperature, wind forecast and current speed are separate products.
