Predicted versus observed water levels

NOAA astronomical predictions describe the expected tide cycle. Weather, waves and storm surge can change actual water levels. Table heights are feet above MLLW; they are not wave heights or water depth at every location.

Swimming and coastal recreation

Neither high tide nor low tide guarantees safe swimming. Follow Beach Patrol instructions, posted warnings and official forecasts. An activity guide does not replace an on-site assessment or permission to enter a closed area.

Boating and fishing

Tide times do not establish current speed, slack water, channel clearance or legal access. Use appropriate charts, forecasts, notices and applicable agency regulations. This site provides no navigation clearance or catch guarantee.
